What to Eat Before and After Yoga?

I will talk about 10 things about the diet you should take before and after yoga:


Whether you are taking any one of the yoga poses or stepping into the yoga classes, it's important to fuel up your body organs before stepping on the yoga mat.


Preparing yourself before heading to the yoga is challenging in itself that sustain your body shape soon. Before you enter into yoga studio it is very important to know about diet what to eat before and after yoga.


To get most benefit of yoga it is very important to eat right type of food. Without following proper diet or food your body will not able to obtain much benefit of the yoga.



What to eat before Yoga?

1. Bananas:


Banana is one of the fruit which is available all around the year. It is easily available in market at cheap rate which is rich in nutrition. You can consume it twice a day or you can make yummy smoothies of banana. The fruit is replete with potassium and this alone makes it an ideal pre-workout snack. You can take it as making salad and sake that helps in gaining weight. Magnesium present in banana aids in muscles cramp. 


2. Yogurts:


Yogurt is a dairy product produced by fermentation of raw milk. Yogurt is also popular as Yogh0urt. Yogurt is rich in protein, calcium, protein which helps in protecting of bones and teeth and digestive problem. People often consume it with oats. You can have it one cup of plain yogurt or blend it with fruits to make smoothies.

Before get in practicing of yoga, simply take low fat or zero fat yogurt.


3. Mix Fruit salad or Smoothies:

Fruit smoothies is a drink or sake easily prepared at home using raw fruits/vegetables, water, milk and some dairy products. It is an ideal pre-workout before yoga. Smoothies provide adequate nutrition and protein and hydrate the body at the same time. The one things good about it is that you can add it with various type of fruits, you don't have to stick to the single ingredients or single flavor always. While you prepare smoothies, no need to add extra sugar into it, the natural sugar and sweetness present in fruits is sufficient to have a drink.




4. Dry fruits and Nut:

Dry fruit is one of the food or snack from which the majority of water is removed either naturally, through sun drying or through the use of dehydrators. Various types of dry fruits are available in market but good quality of dry fruits are usually hard to find.  Dry fruits are rich i vitamins and protein which boost immunity system and prevent lifestyle disease. Dry fruits are healthy and you can have it every morning in very little amount that boost up your energy for every session of yoga.


5. Apple:


An Apple is a fruit which contains natural sugar and lots of fibers. It is most widely grown fruit in worldwide. Vitamin C is found in an Apple which boost energy of your body before the yoga session. As you all know" An apple keeps the doctor away". You can have it as light breakfast or make a juice of it. You can  have it as salad.


6. Oatmeal:


Oats is rich in fibre.Having one bowl of oats before going to the yoga studio is a prudent idea. In a very less time it is easy to prepare which is a very healthy food to start yoga. If necessary, you can add a drop of honey or yogurt in it. You can mix it with milk or boil it or you can boil it with plain water too.


7. Egg:



An Egg is rich in iron, vitamin A, D, E and, protein and mineral. To gain weight egg is one of the important nutrients. 3 boiled egg per day are perfectly safe for healthy people. You can make a soup of it mixing with some vegetable ingredients.





8. Avocado:


Avocado is a fruit which is rich in minerals like magnesium, potassium. A lot of Yoga partitioner like avocado before starting yoga. Avocado helps proper functions of human organs body part. You can prepare a avocado juice which is healthy  for whole day.


What to eat after Yoga? 


1. Water:
As you practice yoga, you feel thirsty and it is very important to hydrate your body. You need to drink plenty of water. You can have a plain water which is best than all other drink after yoga, or you can add drop of lemon into water for shot of vitamin C. If possible you can drink coconut water. Water is rich in mineral.




2. Veg Soup:

As you practice yoga, you have burnt a lot of calories and it's necessary that you provide sufficient amount of nutrients and plenty of calories. It is easy to prepare as all the ingredients will be available at home without any tension to bring various types of items. In a Veg soup you can use carrot, spinach, cabbage for get back energy back as before.


3. Fruit Juice:


Fruits are rich in vitamins, it provides all types of nutrients required for being healthy.  You can refresh yourself by enjoying a glass of fruit juice after the Yoga. It's not like that you have to eat same fruit each and every day you can try a different types of fruit. When you prepare fruit juice try to avoid adding additional sugar into it. For better taste you can add a small ice cube in juice before having it.


4. Green Tea:
Green tea has become one of the most used drink for being healthy. People like to prefer green tea rather than other tea or coffee to maintain their body figure. Practicing yoga in the morning time, it is an ideal drink to have it. As you do yoga it enhances blood circulation, and antioxidants present in green tea get circulated throughout the body.


5. Vegetable salad:


As you finish your yoga session you prepare a bowl of salad with various raw vegetables that can burn the thirsty of tiredness. Chop a fruit and can mix a drop of olive oil to add the better taste. You can use dark leafy vegetable like cabbage, carrot, cucumber and bit and mix some pepper powder with required salt.
