How to do Balasana(Child Pose) & it's Benefits.

1. Child Pose:(Balasana)

Child Pose is also known as "Balasana". Balasana means Bala refers "Child" And Asana refers "Pose". It is basic pose which you can do early morning at your bed also. Child Pose is one of the gentle resting pose which helps you to stretches thighs, low back, hips, knees and ankle. @TheJourneyofYogaAsana 


The menstruation cycle is very delicate. You may be the one who can be in any of the state. After working whole day, travelling,stressed and doing ups and down you might feel low so you understand better to avoid it.

Balasana pose is gentle sitting pose which you can try during menstruation. It provides you relief to your body and improves blood circulation. But if you feel physical or mentally good to fall for this pose then only go for it else try to avoid.

Step by step instructions:

  • Fold your both leg under thighs and put your body weight gently on the folded leg.                                                                        
  • As you have taken sit take a inner deep breath and exhale.                                               
  • Your ankle should be towards outside and over other ankle.                                    
  • Now you stretch your both hand straight forward to your face.                      
  • Bend your waist in such a way your breast should touch the knee and your head touch the ground.                                                                                                 
  • And open your hand and slightly spread on the floor. Inhale and exhale and repeat it for 5 to 10 times.                                    
  • Now bring your hand side of your thighs. and release your folded leg to come back to actual position.  

Benefits:

  • It gently stretches lower back, thighs, hips, knees and ankle.          
  • It reduce stress and anxiety.                                                                
  • It gives relax to the spine,neck and shoulder.                                     
  • It improves blood circulation which is better to do during menstruation.                                                                                  
  • It relieves headache.                                                                              
  • It calms the brain and central nervous system.

If you have gone through any kind of back or knee injury try to avoid it. If you feel comfortable to go for it consult to the doctor before you start.
